Scam domain takedown
Scam domains using your name, taken down.
OpenBait takes down domains that use a company's name to run a fake site or a phishing page. You confirm the domain is fake. If its site takes passwords or card numbers, we report it with evidence, follow it until it stops loading, then check it until the domain is deleted. If it only copies your pages, we have it removed from Google search results instead, and the site itself stays up.

How a scam domain takedown works
Send the domain
Paste it, or let our daily scans find it among newly registered names.
You confirm it's fake
If it turns out to be a partner's or reseller's site, “Not a fake” closes the case.
We report it and stay on it
If the site takes passwords or card numbers, we report it with evidence and stay on it until it's down. If it only copies your pages, we have it removed from Google search instead. Every report we send is recorded on your case page.
We keep checking
We check every hour until the site is offline, then keep checking until the domain is deleted. If it was removed from Google instead, the result is on your case page.
Scam domain takedown FAQ
Can you take down a look-alike domain with nothing on it?
No. Until the domain shows something, there's no fake site to report. If it later shows a shop or a login page, paste the link and we'll take it from there.
How many takedowns does a domain use?
Each fake-site domain you ask us to take down counts as one, so five fake sites count as five. If a site comes back on the same domain, it isn't counted twice.
Do I need a registered trademark?
Not for a domain whose site takes card numbers or passwords: that's fraud, and it can be taken down without one. For a copy of your pages, your own product text and photos are covered by copyright, which you have without registering anything.
Can you guarantee the site will be taken down?
No one can promise that, because the companies that can take a site offline make the final call. On a monthly plan, if none of the sites we took on has gone offline, been suspended, received a browser warning or had its pages removed from Google's search results within 30 days of our first report, we refund your first payment. It applies once and must be requested within 30 days.
What if it moves to a new domain?
A site on a new domain counts as a new takedown. If it comes back on the same domain, we report it again at no extra charge once you confirm.
Can I check for look-alike domains before I pay?
Yes. The free look-alike domain check shows which names built from your domain are live and show your brand name in the page title.
Found a domain using your name?
Paste the link. A copy often answers "Not confirmed", and that's expected: choose Sign up and get it taken down. Signing up is free, you confirm the site copies yours, pick a plan or a single takedown, and we take it from there.
